For me, architecture is about more than providing shelter. Design at its best enhances quality of life, creating spaces and places of beauty and practicality that make life more comfortable and bring ease to everyday living. Our built and physical environments have a significant effect on our physical, emotional, and spiritual health, our sense of peace, and our harmony with the cultural, social, and natural environment.

My designs specialise in living in flow, maximising autonomy and personal choice, and optimising ease of daily life activities while also working sympathetically with the land and your needs, dreams, and wishes. I believe that it is essential that our lived environments are functional, beautiful, practical, and flowing.

Service packages range from brief-writing and concept design only, through to master-planning the whole property integrating buidling and permaculture design through to project management.

I work in collaboration with another architect and can support your project from choosing the land, designing your ideal environment all the way through to Council approvals and project management of construction.

Do you love your current home or location but it is not full supporting your changing needs and the life you dream about? Are you facing potential ageing, health or mobility issues? Do you really need to move house or downsize?

I specialise in ageing-in-place, adaptable and accessible housing, and dementia design which was the focus of my PhD. My previous work as a Research Fellow with the Chair of Ageing was a rare opportunity providing profound insight & understanding into issues to do with ageing including clinical, policy, & practical aspects.

Services offered include consulting to assess whether you need to move or stay and adapt your existing home, pre-purchase brief writing and assessments, and architectural design so that you are supported to live your best life.

PERMACULTURE DEsign AND HOLISTIC REgenerative gardening and farming

Are you keen to start or improve living more sustainably and in flow with nature, or to become more self-sufficient and grow your own food but need guidance on how to go about things?

I am a qualified Permaculture Designer and trained in regenerative, holistic farming. My work is scalable from the smallest urban block to a full-scale working farm and all properties in between.

My grounding in holistic animal and land stewarding is practical and real, having farmed for over 12 years and currently transforming our previously neglected 'unfarmed' land into a thriving multi-species regenerative permaculture farm in Oyster Cove, just south of Hobart.

LAND HEALING AND PREPURCHASE ASSESSMENT

Looking to buy a new home or land, but not sure if it feels right or will fully support the life you want for yourself and family?

Consider adding on a land and home energy healing to support your family. I also offer a pre-purchase land energy assessment. This is half the fee of a healing, and if you choose to proceed with the purchase, you can opt for the full healing.

Consider developing a written brief together, and then I can consult to visit and assess the property with you.
